CD vs. Mixtape (2008)
I created a compilation cd to celebrate the original 'mixtape'.  My song list consisted of tracks from the cassette tape era.  I recorded onto cassette, and then back onto CD so that my CD had the correct aesthetics - the stops and starts, crackling of the tape.  My cd also only had two tracks, 'Side A' and 'Side B' so if you don't like a song you have to fast-forward, or if you want to hear a song again you have to rewind, just like on a cassette.  I then made my packaging like an over-sized cassette, with the CD slipping in to become one of the reels of the tape.
